Ahmad ibn Shams al-Din Muhammad Neyrizi or Mirza Ahmad Neyrizi, nicknamed Soltani, who lived in the late Safavid period, is considered one of the greatest calligraphers of the Naskh script. He was the inventor of a special style in Naskh script that was welcomed by calligraphers after him and became known as Iranian Naskh. The museum and tomb of this master calligrapher are recognized as one of Neyriz's tourist attractions worth visiting.
