The Tomb of Sheikh Ahmad Jami:
This remarkable mausoleum and tomb, located in the northeast of Torbat Jam County, consists of a unique complex including: a very magnificent iwan, the dome chamber, the Atiq Mosque, the White Dome, the Kermani Mosque, the Amir Jalal al-Din Firuzshahi School, and the New Grand Mosque, each built with the finest architecture. This tomb is considered one of Iran's national heritage sites. Sheikh Ahmad Jami, whose full name is "Ahmad ibn Abu al-Hasan Jami Naqvi Torshizi," is counted among the famous mystics, poets, and musicians of the 5th and 6th centuries AH. He was born in 440 AH in the village of Naq, a part of Torshiz (present-day Kashmar), and died at the age of 95 in Torbat Jam.
