Imamzadeh Ebrahim Shaft is one of the important and respected pilgrimage sites in Shaft County in Gilan Province.
This Imamzadeh is known as one of the descendants of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS) and every year many pilgrims from different parts of Iran come to this place for pilgrimage and to fulfill vows.
Geographical location and access
Imamzadeh Ebrahim is located in the city of Shaft, in Gilan Province. This city is situated near rivers with abundant water and green areas, and access to it is possible via the main roads of the province.
History and people's beliefs
According to local beliefs, Imamzadeh Ebrahim is one of the children or descendants of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS) who migrated to this area during the (persecution) of the Abbasids and passed away here.
Some local sources consider him to be from the Mousavi Sayyids (related to Imam Musa al-Kadhim).
The antiquity of this Imamzadeh dates back to the early Islamic centuries and the shrine building has been renovated several times throughout history.

The current building of Imamzadeh Ebrahim is a combination of traditional Gilani and Islamic architecture.
Its dome is green in color, which is easily recognizable among the forests and green spaces of the area.
Inside the shrine, there is a wooden or metal grille and religious decorations.

Pilgrimage: Local people and pilgrims from near and far come to this place for pilgrimage and to request favors.
Vows: Like many Imamzadehs in Iran, making vows (cooking food, giving charity, lighting candles) is customary at this place.
Religious holidays: On occasions such as the birth or martyrdom of Imams, special ceremonies are held at this shrine.
