The noble lineage of Imamzadeh Seyyed Mohammad buried in Fereydunkenar County traces back to Imam Sajjad (a) through six intermediaries.
He was a venerable, magnificent, and very honorable Seyyed; most of his ancestors were considered among the greats of Iraq and Hejaz. The first person from this family to migrate to Iran was Seyyed Abolhassan Ali, nicknamed Mar'ash, who returned from Sham to Qazvin, and after his brother Seyyed Mohammad, a virtuous and venerable man, came to Rey and there became the source of effects and blessings. Seyyed Ali al-Mar'ash is the ancestor of the Mar'ash Sayyids of Iran, whose number is close to half a million.
