Description

The shrine belongs to Imam Sultan Mahmoud Shah Dinouri, a mystic of the eighth century AH, and according to one narration, from the descendants of Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS).

The Shamilerzan shrine is located in the Khutbah Saray of Talesh, and from inside the Khutbah Saray bazaar, a side path opens which has no attracting signs or guides for the beautiful and attractive Shamilerzan axis. To reach this shrine and village, one must pass through the villages of Ashikaghasi, Kalat (Kalat Mashaikh), Anbooh, Minachun, and Binun inside the forest with a river and a valley full of trees, and after traveling 18 kilometers, arrive at the pilgrimage summer village of Shamilerzan.

At the beginning of the path, abundant rice and citrus farms are seen, and the roofs of the houses are covered with tiles. After traveling 5 kilometers, when the villages of Ishk Aghasi and Kalat end, the dirt road begins. The road is very beautiful, surrounded on both sides by forest with a 45-degree slope everywhere, crossing a river, a wide and deep valley, and sturdy trees, creating pristine and attractive scenery along the route.

Before Shamilerzan, there is a dirt road connecting Khutbah Saray to Ardabil. In the village of Kalat Mashaikh, remnants of nomads are seen. At kilometer 8 and at an altitude of 327 meters, a coffee house thrives where one can sometimes stop for a rest. In the village of Binun, a forest exploitation plan is underway, and a large river that starts from the Shamilerzan summer pasture passes through the middle of the area.

After this place, we reach the village and shrine of Shamilerzan. The shrine is located at an altitude of 924 meters above sea level, in the middle of a populous and prosperous village. Meanwhile, the village houses overlook the shrine, and the shrine forms part of the western edge of the square.

The shrine belongs to Imam Sultan Mahmoud Shah Dinouri, a mystic of the eighth century AH, and according to one narration, from the descendants of Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS). In the courtyard, boxwood trees are abundantly seen. The shrine is inside a room surrounded on all sides by a veranda, which unfortunately in recent years has developed deep and serious cracks due to neglect.

It is noteworthy that despite the distance and lack of signs and guides, it is visited by tourists. Moreover, during Muharram and Islamic holidays, especially Eid al-Adha, many pilgrims come to this place. The ceremony of Alambandi is held in this shrine on the first of Muharram, and the ceremony of Alamwachini on the thirteenth of Muharram.
