Description

One of the historical buildings of Gorgan is the Darouei House or the Darouei Houses. This historical complex is located in the old texture of the city and its name has been listed in the National Heritage List of Iran since the 1380s (2001-2011). This historical building actually consists of two buildings located on the northern and southern sides, which together form the Darouei historical complex. The building on the northern side was built during the first Pahlavi era, and the southern building of this complex, which is older, was built during the Qajar era. It is worth mentioning that both houses of this complex have been restored and renovated many times, but most of them have been destroyed.
