Gorgan Defensive Wall
Have you seen the Great Wall of China? We ourselves have the Gorgan Defensive Wall in beautiful Iran. After the Great Wall of China, the Gorgan Defensive Wall is the tallest defensive wall in the world. Of course, many parts of this wall have been damaged these days, but it can still be considered one of the tourist attractions of Gorgan. This wall has been nationally registered and is known by various names such as Alexander's Dam, Pirouz Dam, Anushirvan Dam, the Red Snake of Sassanid, and so on. The defensive wall belongs to the Sassanid era, meaning it is about 2000 years old. This wall starts from the Caspian Sea in an area called Gomishan and continues to mountains called Golidagh in the northeast of Golestan province. Interesting, isn't it?
