Gachsar Village is one of the mountainous villages listed among the tourist attractions of Chalus. This village is located in Karaj County, Alborz Province; however, it is situated on the Karaj–Chalus road and is very easily accessible from the Chalus road. The history of this village dates back to the Safavid and Qajar eras.
The flowing rivers, beautiful springs, and the unparalleled greenery of Gachsar Village attract many tourists from all over Iran to this area. Another attraction of Gachsar Village is its stepped architecture, narrow alleys, and winding pathways; the presence of these stairs and pathways makes tourists more eager to explore every inch of the village.
The remains of Qajar-era lime kilns, the heavy iron stone bridge, the tulip gardens of Gachsar, and the Reza Shah palace of Gachsar are among the attractions of this village.
