Jackal Hill is located 200 meters southwest of the central square of Aliabad Katul county and is considered the oldest human settlement relic in this city. With an elliptical shape, this area is 60 meters long, 50 meters wide, and covers about three thousand square meters, with a height of four meters. On the hill's surface, red pottery, kitchen pottery (cooking), and glazed decorated pottery have been discovered, some red pottery pieces resemble Sassanian era pottery in form, and some glazed pottery pieces belong to the Islamic period. The presence of scattered bricks on the surface of Jackal Hill may indicate the existence of buried historical architectural remains in the hill. Due to its historical importance, this site is listed among the sights of Aliabad Katul and was registered as one of Iran's national monuments on 31 May 2003, with registration number 8822.
