Kameshcheh city is the last city in the north of Barkhar County and the gateway of the county, located 8 kilometers north of Habibabad on the route from Isfahan to Ardestan. Kameshcheh became a city in 2007 with the establishment of Barkhar County.
The people of Kameshcheh speak a dialect of the ancient Iranian language and dialect. Historical sites include the old tower and walls, Haj Ghasemi's house, its castle, and historic bathhouse. Traditional arts and handicrafts include carpet weaving and local bread baking, especially its dry and toasted bread, with 18 tons of flour converted to bread daily and sent to neighboring cities in the province.
