Description
Estakhr Castle dates back to the Sasanian period - the early centuries of the historical periods after Islam and is considered one of the tourist attractions of Marvdasht in Fars Province. This castle is located on a mountain with the same name. Estakhr Castle was registered as one of Iran's national monuments on February 19, 2008. This castle is the most famous of the three-domed castles and stands 400 meters above the plain.
