Tis Castle, also known as the Portuguese Castle, with a history of more than two thousand years, is one of the tourist attractions of Chabahar and is located at the mouth of Chabahar Bay and on a hill overlooking the Chabahar-Tis road. With dimensions of 24 meters by 95 meters, the materials used in the construction of the castle are brick, stone, and plaster. The entrance of the castle is located on the eastern side, and a large vestibule with many rooms and private verandas are among its architectural features. The vestibule, which closely resembles the caravanserais of Shah Abbas, was built during the reign of Shah Suleiman Safavi.
