The Peykan Grand Mosque is one of the sacred and historical places of Jarquyeh, located in the village of Peykan. This old and valuable mosque was built during the Seljuk period and in the reign of Sultan Sanjar Seljuk. The Peykan Grand Mosque has a unique design and consists of two floors: a basement and a ground floor; both the northern and southern sides are usable. Over the centuries, the beautiful prayer halls of this mosque were destroyed, but thanks to the efforts of benefactors, it has been restored and rebuilt, and is now recognized as one of the most beautiful historical mosques and one of the tourist attractions of Jarquyeh, registered in the list of national monuments of Iran.
