Golshan Grand Mosque or Golshan Mosque is one of the historical buildings remaining from the Safavid era, located in the historic fabric of the city of Gorgan. The name of this valuable historical building was registered among the national historical monuments of Iran in the 1970s. It is worth mentioning that this mosque was later restored and renovated during the Qajar period; however, due to the destruction of most parts of the mosque building, in recent years a large part of the building was replaced by a structure built in the style and manner of the original architecture. It is said that only the southern iwan of this building remains untouched, and the rest of the mosque parts are newly constructed buildings inspired only by the old mosque's architectural principles.
