In the year 1304 of the Solar Hijri calendar, Mohammad Ali Naseri Heydarabadi built a mosque in the traditional southern Iranian architectural style in the center of Bandar Abbas. This mosque had a roof made of sandalwood (chandal) imported from India. The interior of the mosque is adorned with beautiful stucco work dating back to the Qajar era.
