Niavaran Palace, known as the guesthouse of the Shah's pleasure
Although the name Niavaran Palace is associated with the Pahlavi family, in fact, the Qajar family laid the foundation of this garden and some of the palace buildings. The Ahmad Shah Pavilion was the last building constructed during the Qajar era in this garden, and by order of Mohammad Reza Shah in 1958, the construction of Niavaran Palace in the garden area began. Although this palace was built for foreign guests, ultimately the Shah and his family started living there, and it became the Shah's palace. Unlike other palaces in Iran, Niavaran Palace has a modern and simple architecture. When visiting this complex, you can see the palace's private library, Ahmad Shah Pavilion, the royal car museum, the world panorama museum, and also the Sahebqaranieh Palace.
