Among the sights of Gorgan, the historic Qezelq Caravanserai is one of the most unique places for enthusiasts of history and traditional architecture. This magnificent building, dating back to the Islamic era, is located on a mountainous road near Gorgan. Spring is the best time to witness the natural beauty surrounding this caravanserai. The reason for building the caravanserai in this area was the passage of tourist and trade caravans that crossed this region and created a connection between the Gorgan plain and the main old roads on the Khorasan road and the central plateau, which was of special importance. Unfortunately, over time and due to various reasons such as changes in caravan routes during different periods, the glory and grandeur of this caravanserai diminished.
