The Shahidān neighborhood water reservoir, the first water reservoir built in Harand with a capacity of 2,268,650 liters, is the second largest water reservoir in the country and the third largest in the world. This water reservoir, with its outstanding and unique architecture, was built in the early Qajar period by a philanthropist named the late Haj Sheikh Shakarallah Harandi, who was one of the wealthy and major merchants of the region, near the historic Sabaghi House. This water reservoir has a beautiful entrance with 40 steps and has remained almost intact in the old texture of the city. It also has four windcatchers with a height of 40.9 meters. The Shahidān Water Reservoir was registered as a national heritage site of Iran on 22/5/1384 (Persian calendar) with the number 12993.
