The tomb of Baba Taher Ariyan is located on a low hill in the city of Hamadan, which is considered one of the tourist attractions of Hamadan. The current building of this tomb, with an octagonal design in a rectangular square, was built in 1965.
The tomb of Baba Taher has witnessed many ups and downs throughout history, from destructions to restorations and reconstructions. The original tomb of Baba Taher dates back to the Seljuk period and the sixth century.
Baba Taher is one of the most famous Iranian quatrain poets. Inside his tomb, 24 quatrains are inscribed on 24 beautiful stones. Also, beside his tomb, some great figures such as Mohammad ibn Abdulaziz, Mirza Ali Naqi Kosar, Maftun Hamadani, and Abolfath Asad are buried.
