The holy shrine of Imamzadeh Shah Qasem (peace be upon him) is located in Kaleybar County, in the village of Pireh Lar. From the original structure of the mausoleum, only the dome chamber and the shoe rack remain, and other buildings have gradually been added to the mausoleum. The Imamzadeh complex consists of the southern courtyard, northern courtyard, dome chamber, pilgrim house, shoe rack, caretaker's room, and mosque, covering an area of more than 1300 square meters.
A green signboard is installed above the entrance door with the inscription "Imamzadeh Shah Qasem Pireh Lar" written on it. On both sides of the southern courtyard door, two stout minarets stand on the roof, plastered with cement mortar, each topped with a flag.
The local people believe that Imamzadeh Shah Qasem (peace be upon him) is a descendant of Imam Musa ibn Ja'far (peace be upon him). They recount from their ancestors that after the arrival of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (peace be upon him) to Khorasan, a group of his family, eager to see this great and honorable Imam, traveled to Iran. However, the agents of Ma'mun, the Abbasid caliph, pursued and arrested these dear ones, martyring them, among whom was Shah Qasem (peace be upon him), who was martyred in this region and buried here.
