Imamzadeh Roshna Roshanabad Kardkuy

Another attraction of Kardkuy, considered a historical and religious site, is Imamzadeh Roshanabad, dating back to the 9th century AH. The name of this historical building appears in the history of Tabari as Roshna and belongs to Abdullah, a descendant of the seventh Imam. The main shrine is located in the middle of a garden surrounded by a public cemetery. The structure is a tall, multi-faceted tower including a portico, a quadrangular sanctuary, a round dome with a tiled roof. Its interior decorations are as spectacular as the exterior. There is also a precious wooden chest inside the building with beautiful carvings on its body, where people place their offerings. In this Imamzadeh, two others named Ibrahim and Mohammad, brothers of the eighth Imam, are also buried.
