It is almost certain that the personality buried in this shrine is Sayyid Jamal al-Din Ibrahim ibn Musa ibn Ja'far ibn Muhammad ibn Ismail ibn Ahmad Amirjah ibn al-Qasim ibn Hamza al-Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him). He was a noble, great, and honorable Sayyid who was responsible for the leadership of the Sayyids of Tus. He was the son-in-law of Sayyid Abu al-Qasim Musavi, the leader of Marv.
In the book Bihar al-Anwar, it is mentioned: In Quchan Mashhad, there is a great shrine known as Sultan Ibrahim ibn Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (peace be upon him).
Bayhaqi says: I met him in Mashhad al-Ridha (peace be upon him), he was the leader there for years, he had a brother named Kamal al-Din Ali who died in 522 AH and I attended his mourning ceremony.
Abu Talib Marwazi, while praising him and his ancestors, writes: Sayyid Ajall Jamal al-Din Ibrahim ibn Musa ibn Ja'far ibn Muhammad Musavi, son-in-law of Sayyid Ajall Abu al-Qasim Musavi, was the leader of Marv. This Sayyid had a daughter who had a son named Muhammad who lived in Mashhad and until today has been one of the great leaders of this city.
