The Qeysarieh Bazaar of Lar is one of the historical buildings of this old and historic city, located in a neighborhood called Qeysarieh. Although some attribute the construction of this bazaar to the pre-Islamic era, this historic bazaar was built in the year 811 AH by a person who held the governorship of Lar, according to some ancient and historical texts. Due to a severe earthquake in Fars province, this bazaar was also heavily damaged until during the reign of Shah Abbas Safavi and during Shah Abbas's military campaign to Lar and the conquest of this city by his army, Shah Abbas ordered the bazaar to be rebuilt. In the year 1015 AH, Haj Ghanbar Beyg Zolqadr Jahromi was assigned to build this beautiful and eye-catching bazaar, which in architectural style bears a great resemblance to the Grand Bazaar of Isfahan.
