Khanqoli Tower is one of Iran's national monuments and one of the tourist attractions of Malayer, built during the Ilkhanid period and its age dates back to about 700 years ago. The city of Samen had a total of four watchtowers used for protecting and defending the city, and Khanqoli Tower was considered one of these important towers. The materials used in the construction of Khanqoli Tower in Malayer on floors 3 and 4 are brick and clay. On floors 1 and 2, local materials called "chineh" were used. This tower, one of the tourist attractions of Malayer, originally had 4 floors; however, during World War I, the upper floor of the tower was destroyed by Russian artillery attack. The diameter of the base of Khanqoli Tower in Malayer is about 15 meters. The body of the tower has holes on each floor that were used for shooting at enemies.
