Tang Bastanak, known as the Lost Paradise, is the name of a summer resort area in Fars Province; an area that was unknown to tourists until the late 1970s and became famous in the early 1980s due to hiking and nature groups. The unique natural landscapes of the area led to its registration in 1999 as the Tang Bastanak Forest Protected Area. This dreamlike region has also become famous as the Lost Paradise due to its unparalleled beauty.
The temperature in Tang Bastanak is low and direct sunlight does not shine on it. This is due to the rocky bed and the plane and walnut trees that make up the dense vegetation cover of the area. Overall, Tang Bastanak is mountainous and forested, with a clear river featuring small and large waterfalls. In recent years, the Lost Paradise has become one of the popular areas for nature tourism in Fars Province, attracting many travelers.
