Description

Shah Bath or Mashhad Anthropology Museum was built in the year 985 of the Solar Hijri calendar by order of Mehdi Qoli Beyk Jani. Mehdi Qoli dedicated this bath to the shrine of Imam Reza, and in addition to the bath, a qanat was constructed for it, whose excess water was sent to the Goharshad Mosque. This historic bath belongs to the Safavid era and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, it was renamed Razavi Bath and finally in 1385 (Solar Hijri) with the efforts of the Mashhad Cultural Heritage Organization, it was converted into the city's Anthropology Museum.
