The Manteghi Nejad House, which many people know by the names of the Museum of Islamic Arts, the House of Art, and the Music Museum, and are less familiar with the history of its mansion.
The construction time of the Manteghi Nejad House dates back to the late Qajar era and the year 1311 in the Solar Hijri calendar. To a time when the blue pool and the dance of clay fish among the lotuses and the courtyard's sacred boundary were common, which can still be seen in the architecture of many remaining Qajar houses. A famous merchant from the wealthy people of Shiraz named Manteghi Nejad is recognized as the original owner of this house, who decorated the entrance of his mansion with Indian brocade fabrics and inscriptions adorned with Quranic verses. In this house, beautiful plasterwork and carved arches catch the eye and with their beauty, they make you fascinated by Iranian architectural art. It is good to know that the Manteghi Nejad House has been under the protection of the non-governmental organization Friends of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Association of Fars since 1390 and various cultural activities are carried out in this mansion to protect the historical artifacts and texture of Shiraz city.
