Dasht-e Jahan is the name of an ancient town established during the Sasanian era. This town was one of the dependent towns of the city of Badgerd (Badghar) in the land of Garkuyeh and in its time extended from Apakhter (north) of today's Nikabad city to the south in an area of the current village of Sian. This plain had three large neighborhoods named Mazdava, Suri, and Dasht-e Asman. This ancient town was destroyed simultaneously with the destruction of Badgerd city in the earthquake of the year 724 Solar Hijri. The remains of the ancient town “Dasht-e Jahan” are on the verge of destruction.
