Rahim Abad

Rahimabad city is one of the subdivisions of Rudsar County in the center of Rahimabad district in Gilan province. Rahimabad district is considered one of the largest districts of Gilan province.

The residents of Rahimabad are Gilaks and speak Gilaki language with the Bie-Pish dialect.

The main products of Rahimabad include: rice, tea, hazelnuts, medicinal plants, honey, wheat, barley, legumes, melons, and native fruits.

Rahimabad has tourist attractions.

Tol Lat Castle: Tol Lat Castle (Gardan Castle or Tol Lat) is one of the ancient monuments of Rahimabad located downstream of Polrud. At the top of the castle, you can see pristine and beautiful views. Stone and plaster were used to build Tol Lat Castle. You find this castle after passing Ashkourat in the village of Ziyaz and after entering the limits of the Polrud earth dam, which you must go to on foot. This castle is considered one of the oldest castles in Gilan province.

Bride and Groom Mountain: Bride and Groom Mountain is located in the village of Ziyaz and is considered one of the wonders of Ashkourat. At the highest point of this mountain, there are two stone statues shaped like a bride and groom. A local legend says that long ago a girl and boy started their life without their parents' permission but were cursed by their parents and turned into stone. The lake, especially when fog surrounds it, is breathtaking.

Vadar Cave: Located 47 kilometers from Rahimabad district and east of Delijan village, Vadar Cave is very old and the Asmanrud River originates from it.

Shavak Lake: Shavak Lake is located in Shavak village of Ashkourat Rahimabad and supplies the water needed for the agriculture of the lands and gardens of the region. The view of the lake, especially when fog surrounds it, is breathtaking.

Chakrud Valley: Chakrud Valley is located in the Tiyola area and visiting it is for professionals and must be done with proper equipment.

Asmanrud Waterfall: Asmanrud Waterfall is located in Asmanrud Valley, 42 kilometers from Rahimabad district. In addition to the waterfall, there are clear and beautiful springs in the valley.
