Aq Emam Shrine
The shrine is attributed to Hazrat Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Ismail ibn Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS); one of the prominent figures who, along with his brother Hasan, known as "Da'i Kabir", founded the Zaydi Alawi dynasty in Tabaristan (modern Mazandaran) in 250 AH. Aq Emam Shrine is not only a religious pilgrimage site but also one of the most important religious tourism attractions in Golestan Province.
