Mr. Abdolali Sofi's House: A Jewel of Qajar Architecture in Amlash
Location and Age
The house is located in the city of Amlash. This historical building, dating back to the late Qajar period, shines amidst a large courtyard with beautiful flowerbeds and trees.
Architectural Features
The Sofi house is built on two floors. In front of the building, there is a large pool. This building is constructed about one meter above the courtyard level and has a floor area of 450 square meters. The ground floor height is 225 centimeters and the first floor height is 325 centimeters. The ground floor is designated for services, and the first floor is considered the reception and ceremonial hall.
Architectural Style
The house plan strictly follows symmetry. In the center of the first floor is the main hall of the house, with two rooms on either side leading to the eastern and western verandas. The hall and side rooms' windows are decorated with beautiful orsi (traditional stained glass). Additionally, the interior decorations of the rooms and the ceiling are adorned with beautiful plasterwork designs.

The materials used in the construction of this building are mainly brick, wood, and tile.
Decorations
The wooden ceiling beams are designed in the form of lion heads and create a wide and beautiful span across three floors.

Mr. Abdolali Sofi's house is registered under number 4019 in the country's National Heritage List.
