Description

The general's grave can be considered one of the most unique historical attractions of Bushehr. This tomb is the burial place of an English general who died in Bushehr during the British forces' presence in the Persian Gulf. The tombstone, with English inscriptions and a carved cross on it, quickly attracts the attention of any passerby; because among Muslim graves, this grave looks completely different.

Despite the passage of time, this grave, which is one of Bushehr's sights, has remained intact and has become a symbol of a specific period in Bushehr's history; a period when the port city of Bushehr witnessed the presence and influence of foreigners. The general's grave today is not just a stone; it narrates a period of political and colonial history in the south of the country.
