The Dokhtar Castle is located in the village of Shurab and on top of a high mountain. The construction style of this castle is very similar to the Ismaili castles. There were holes in the castle that were used as secret passages, and the meeting room was also located below the castle structure. This stone castle is also known as Nahid Castle and is attributed to the goddess Anahita.
The Dokhtar Castle has three protruding architectural spaces that extend from east to west. The lower part of the castle, which is considered the entrance of the building, has a long series of covered corridors with wide walls. The upper part of the building is dedicated to a hall and spacious rooms, and another part is allocated to round towers.
Some believe that the original structure of the castle dates back to the Sassanid era and was rebuilt and used during the Ismaili period.
