Description

Qasr-e Qobad Kovar is built on an elevation surrounded on all sides by deep cliffs. The most important geographical feature of the Kovar region is the presence of high mountains and numerous valleys with tall rocky walls.

Among the mountains of Kovar and near the villages of Bouraki and Arbab Olya, there is a rocky wall with a cave having a small entrance and an approximate depth of 15 to 18 meters, from the ceiling and walls of which water droplets drip into three basins carved in the stone. Qasr-e Qobad is located on an impregnable rock slab, where in some parts the height of the wall reaches more than 50 meters, and its elevation above sea level is about 2200 meters.
