Mount Samamus, Gem of the Plain

Samamus Peak is the highest peak in Gilan province with an elevation of 3676 meters. There are several routes to ascend Mount Samamus, with the eastern route from the village of Javaherdeh and the northern route from the village of Javahardasht being more popular among mountaineers.

Samamus Peak is one of the favorite peaks for climbers because it offers unique experiences. On clear, cloudless, and foggy nights, from the summit you can see far into the provinces of Mazandaran and Gilan, and during the day you can observe from Bandar Anzali to Nowshahr. Moving through the pristine, fog-covered slopes of the Javahardasht heights, passing by a spring with fresh water, and the untouched and peaceful mountain environment provide climbers with tranquility and enjoyment.
