Varamin Grand Mosque or Varamin Friday Mosque is a historical building related to the Ilkhanid period, whose construction began during the reign of Sultan Muhammad Khodabandeh and was completed during the reign of his son, Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan. This monument was registered as one of the tourist attractions of Varamin on January 5, 1932, with registration number 176 in the list of national monuments of Iran. The Varamin Grand Mosque is one of the unique historical buildings in the southeast of Tehran province, which, according to experts, the stucco decorations in it are considered among the unparalleled decorations in Iran. Also, this mosque, with its architectural style, encompasses the most comprehensive features of Iranian-Islamic architectural art.
