Khalilabad Grand Mosque
According to existing evidence, before the current Grand Mosque, there was an ancient mosque building with a single iwan called Mian Khiyaban at this location. The current building was constructed in 1308 AH, modeled after the Kashmar Grand Mosque, with a single iwan design and side shabestans. Its eastern shabestan was completed in 1313 AH. Architectural spaces with different uses were also created on the eastern and western fronts of the mosque. The iwan of the building, with its architectural components and especially the arch and voussoirs, has given a special grandeur to this complex.
