The Astan Quds Razavi Museum is one of the most popular and important museums in the country and is located within the Imam Reza Shrine complex. The most important museum in the Astan Quds Razavi museum collection is its central museum, which is situated in the Kowsar courtyard and displays items such as weapons, medals, banknotes, and more. The museum's architecture was undertaken by the French architect André Godard. This prominent architect, under the instructions of the officials, designed a three-story building with an area of 1,034 square meters, and the museum was established with a collection of precious and valuable treasures. In the year 1351 in the Iranian calendar, a new location for the museum was built on the southern side of the shrine in the Kowsar courtyard, which began operating in 1356, showcasing a highly diverse and valuable collection of carpets, architectural elements of the shrine, lighting devices, and more.
