The Meshkin Fam Art Museum, or the Museum of Visual Arts in the Forough al-Molk Ghavami House, is one of the historic houses of Shiraz. The house dates back to the late Qajar period and early Pahlavi era and includes various sections such as a kitchen, stable, bath, two residential units, and more across three floors. This beautiful and spectacular house was restored and renovated in 2002 and then handed over to Hasan Meshkin Fam. Mr. Meshkin Fam put great effort into maintaining this beautiful building and transformed it into the Shiraz Museum of Contemporary Arts or the Meshkin Fam Museum. In this museum, you can admire works by contemporary Fars artists, especially works by the Meshkin Fam family in the form of bas-relief, calligraphy, painting, photography—especially old photos—visual arts, and more, immersing yourself in beauty. Alongside the exhibited works, the historic house itself is very unique and beautiful, and the decorations and fine craftsmanship used, such as various plasterworks, latticework, and more, double the pleasure of visiting this historic house-museum.
