Sisangān Forest Park, Nowshahr

Sisangān Forest Park was established in 1965 on the proposal and design of the late «Hossein Saeedi Ashtiani» (founder of forest parks in Iran). Initially, the purpose of establishing this area was to protect rare animal and plant species including boxwood and oak; but in later years, recreational and welfare facilities were added to this park. This place remains one of the largest boxwood reserves in Iran and the Middle East. Also, Sisangān Park is recognized as one of the most beautiful forest parks in Iran.
