Description

The historic Ghazian Bridge is considered one of the two important bridges of Bandar Anzali city and its construction dates back to the Pahlavi era in 1939. With the construction of this bridge, a communication route was established between the Ghazian district and the Mian Poshteh Island in the Anzali lagoon, making the connection between these two parts much easier. The significance of building the Ghazian Bridge lies in the fact that before its construction, access from Ghazian to Anzali city was only possible by boat. An interesting point about the architecture of the Ghazian Bridge is that it is movable, although nowadays this bridge no longer opens and closes for ship passage and has become a fixed bridge for many years. In past years, Ghazian Bridge was listed among Iran's historical monuments and has become a recreational area for the people of Anzali. If you travel to Anzali, you can ask the locals about this historic bridge and enjoy watching the sea and Anzali lagoon from above it. Watching the flight of seagulls, the passage of recreational boats, loading of large and small ships at the Bandar Anzali docks alongside walking on the bridge and visiting nearby restaurants and cafes are other attractions of touring Ghazian Bridge.
