The Faridunkenar metal bridge is introduced as the first car bridge in Iran and is still busy. The construction of this bridge dates back to the era of Reza Khan and the year 1313 (before the start of World War II). The metal bridge crosses the river of the city of Faridunkenar and, with a length of 80 meters, a height of 16 meters, and a width of 8 meters, has become a symbol for this beautiful city. Its magnificent appearance, beautiful architecture, and precise and calculated engineering are features of this historical monument.
The Faridunkenar metal bridge was designed by Swedish and German engineers and is known as the communication route from Babolsar to Faridunkenar and part of the east-west highway of Mazandaran. This metal bridge was registered in the national heritage list of the country on 9 Bahman 1386.
