Qeshm Geopark

I don't know if you have heard anything about geoparks so far or not. To put it simply, geoparks are lands that provide important information about the climate and overall natural history of a region. Now let me tell you an interesting fact about Qeshm Geopark; in the Middle East, there is only one geopark and that is in Qeshm! In 2006, Qeshm Geopark earned the honor of becoming a member of the Global Geoparks Network, which operates under the supervision and support of UNESCO. The location of Qeshm Geopark in the Persian Gulf is so important that it is recognized as the representative of East Asian and European geoparks.
