Farah‌abad Palace

Farah‌abad Palace, also known as Firouzeh Palace, is another one of Tehran's tourist attractions left from the Qajar era. This palace is completely built in European style and modeled after the Trocadéro Palace in Paris. Therefore, its front facade is a complete semicircle surrounded by a terrace. Later, Ahmad Shah added an inner section to the building that was more in harmony with Qajar culture and architecture.

Farah‌abad Palace was built in the Dushan Tappeh area and during Reza Shah's era, the court neglected it and it was forgotten. During the revolution, it was used for military purposes. Today, this palace is under the control of the Revolutionary Guards and is not open to the public.
