The Taj Abad Caravanserai is one of the two circular caravanserais in Iran, built in Hamadan and considered one of the historical sites of Hamadan. Most old caravanserais were built with a rectangular plan, and only a limited number of them have a different structure, among which the Taj Abad Caravanserai is included. This caravanserai dates back to the late Safavid era and is located in the village of Taj Abad. The Taj Abad Caravanserai is one of the registered works on the national heritage list and was even nominated for UNESCO World Heritage registration. The entrance door, 26 rooms, and a stone-paved courtyard along with a well and water pool are the main parts of the Taj Abad Caravanserai.
