Description

It may be strange for many to hear the name Kourosh near Bushehr, but the fact is that in the Bordak-e Siah area, remains of a palace have been left that are attributed to Kourosh the Great.

This historical site, one of the attractions of Bushehr, has not yet been fully excavated, but what has emerged from the soil so far tells of the grandeur and architectural order of the Achaemenid era. The massive and carved stones resemble those of Persepolis, and some believe this palace was Kourosh's resting place during his travels in southern Iran.
