The Church of Bethlehem or Holy Bethlehem in the Safavid era, one of the sights of Isfahan, was built in 1306 AH by the will of Khwaja Petros Valijanian, a famous merchant of that time. This attraction, among the 12 current churches in Isfahan, has the tallest dome which can be recognized from the surrounding streets. Its exterior and interior views are so beautiful that this is the reason for its fame. The materials used in the construction of the church were adobe and brick, and all the walls are covered with plaster and decorated with attractive paintings from the Holy Bible.
The Church of Bethlehem is a two-story church, with the second floor reserved for women.
