Description

The Bandar Tang Mud Volcano is one of the tourist attractions of Sistan and Baluchestan province in Chabahar county. The Bandar Tang mud volcano has a height of 100 meters and its diameter and base are also more than 100 meters. This amazing natural attraction attracts many tourists to southern Iran. In the past, there was a large and active fishing pier in this place. The mud volcanoes of the Chabahar region are seven mountains. These active mountains vary in size and diversity. The largest of these mud volcanoes is located on the Kahir-Tang road. For easy access and comfort of tourists in this area, suitable facilities such as asphalt roads, restrooms, shaded gazebos, and drinking water have been provided. Many tourist tours are held in this place to better introduce this attraction to tourists. The potentials and special features of these mud volcanoes have earned them the title of "the second geopark of the Middle East" and turned it into a world heritage site. The activity of Iran's mud volcanoes, which are located in the coastal plain of the Sea of Oman, especially in southern Baluchestan, varies from year to year in different seasons.
