The Jinn Cemetery of Tis, also known as Cemetery Number 1 of Tis, appears as a frightening place just like its name. The residents of Tis consider this place the burial ground of jinn; although their current cemetery is located nearby! The village of Tis dates back 2500 years. The name of this village was famous in books related to the conquests of Alexander the Great as Tiz; a name that over time changed to Tis. In the works of Islamic historians and geographers, it is also referred to as the port of Tizia or Tisi and introduced as the center of sugar trade in the Makran states and wheat of Sistan. Today, this village hosts some of the tourist attractions of Chabahar and attracts many tourists throughout the year.
There is a silent and mysterious cemetery in this 2500-year-old village that the Baloch call "Jinn Sant" or Jinn Cemetery. This cemetery with its huge tombstones is an interesting place for adventurers interested in the supernatural world. Currently, the village has expanded up to 100 meters in front of the cemetery; but in the past, the cemetery was on the outskirts of the village.
