The Jameh Mosque is one of the oldest Iranian Jameh Mosques. This building was constructed in the year one thousand one hundred and six by the order of Shah Sultan Hossein Safavi and, after surviving earthquakes and fires, it still stands. The only dated inscription of the building is a stone tablet in the mosque's vestibule containing a decree from Shah Sultan Hossein Safavi.
This monument is registered as one of Iran's national heritage sites.
